Just make your images, and right after it make at least 5 images with the lens covered. Those 5 images are darkframes. You should combine them as an average and substract those from your light frame. Results will be fine if you use a good software. A free one is IRIS. Google +IRIS +CCD and you will find the link and manuals for sure. Other programs (commercial) are Maxim/DL and ImagesPlus. They are a bit easier to use, but are not free. But basically you can do everything with Iris.
There also exists a program that combines multiple exposures into a longer exposure, giving you much longer star trails without burning out the background (light polution tends to brighten the sky too much if you are imaging in urban or suburban skies). I did forget the name of the program, but ok, should be easy to locate on the net too.
для каждой исо, выдержки и температуры окружающей среды своя яркость и количество точек, поэтому для каждой съемки надо делать свой черный кадр. а усреднять 5 кадров смысла не вижу.
сходу в ирисе не смог разобраться, а в фш сделал так:
заминусовал кадр с черным кадром.
сделал выделение по точкам в черном кадре.
сместил заплатку с этим выделением на величину самой большой точки.

Привезли наконец и мою 5-ку (с 24-105)

Если меня неприятно удивят ценой, то возьму 5-ку или удивлю всех, купив 50D
