Hello,
While being at SPIEF 2019 in St.Petersburg ,Russia (June 6-8) I happened to see the billboard that belonged to the company Rostelecom. On that billboard they were showing clips from different Russian cities, approximately about 400 footages.
Among that footage I noticed my own footage (

I approached the company and they said that all the footage was purchased at Shuuterstock website and they promised to look into the situation.
Just 10 minutes later I got a notification and I was paid (Full_HD) though the footage used on their screens was mostly 4K.
Next day I decided to record the video (
https://youtu.be/f438EyiGTeo) shown since I saw my other footage (
https://www.shutterstock.com/ru/video/clip-1013307416) that was never sold as well. I approached them again and asked to get the coordinates of the company who sold them a footage but they refused and only took my prone number.
I published an open letter on Facebook, youtube and at the forum of stock photography. The next day I got paid for the second footage. Our photographers started to discover as well that they are discovering their unpaid footages. Somebody called me as well and promised to pay for my footage being used. Our photographers also started to get paid.
I am very curious and anxious to find out how the company was able to get such an amount of high quality video footage without paying for it.
I really hoping you will step in and investigate this urgent matter.
It might be that Russian branch is selling our works without paying Shutterstock and this was is stealing the content.
This is very upsetting for me as a photographer to find my work is being stolen and unpaid.
